Job Description

The Aspire Training Team are currently looking for a hardworking individual to complete their Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship with Little Beans Nursery on Garland Road in Poole.

Little Beans is a professional nursery providing day care for children from 0 to 5 years old.

They work within a stimulating and nurturing environment for the children in order to allow them to explore, learn and grow whilst feeling secure and ready to be challenged.

We are looking for someone very hands on and a team player as everyone at Little Beans works together to get the job done and to provide the best possible service for the children and their families!

Duties will include:-

  • Ensuring the children are well looked after and safe at all times.
  • Planning activities
  • Help to teach skills from an early age
  • Stimulate the children through play, singing and craft activities.
  • Ensure all paperwork is kept up to date.
  • Be constantly aware of the needs of the children.
  • Keeping the nursery clean and tidy.
  • Preparing and serving food.

Flexibility is important, as the nurseries hours are 7:30am to 6pm and you will be expected to work between these times. You will also be required to complete food hygiene training as you will be involved in preparing snacks for the children. The list is endless with regards to what is expected within a busy and stimulating day care setting. They will expect you to be above all, friendly and professional at all times.

This includes when dealing with colleagues, parents and children. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take their first steps towards a career in childcare, working alongside qualified and experienced childcare professionals within a fantastic setting. The Nursery has 2 settings in Poole. The Garland Road setting is very new and is the larger of the 2 settings with more children. It is still very personal and allows open plan areas for children to move around in and make choices as to where they would like to be.

Minimum Requirements;

  • GCSEs in Maths and English grade C or above is desirable or Functional Skills Level 2 can be obtained during your Apprenticeship.
