We're looking for a Commercial Manager M&E to join our Major Projects Devonport department based in Plymouth, Devon. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

As a Commercial Manager M&E you'll be working within the major projects Devonport team, supporting them by taking ownership of a project by managing resources (people, finance and physical assets) in a safe and timely manner to the required quality.

Your day to day will include:

  • To manage the commercial resources (people and finance) in the Project to maximise the planned margins on projects through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts

  • Responsible for the implementation of Kier Commercial Standards including the proper management of monthly cost value reconciliation reports, cash flow reports, subcontract liability reports, a schedule of adjustments and risk schedules.

  • To assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks and implement group policies for risk management.

  • To maximise cash flow through the control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicing of client and payment of suppliers.

Who are we looking for?

This role of Commercial Manager M&E is great for you if:

  • You have relevant qualifications – degree level, or equivalent experience

  • Excellent communication and project management skills including leading and managing technical teams.

  • Quantity Surveying Degree

  • Working towards their RICS/CICES chartership

  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
