Compliance Officer
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 dependant on experience
Location: Hull
Our client is looking for a Compliance Officer to join the team.
THE ROLE:
- The role requires you to be the 'go to person' for any screen compliance queries. You must also assist the Screening Team in ensuring they can meet the needs of business development and clients.
- You will become the first point of contact to advise on compliance legislation for both clients and colleagues.
- You will handle multiple projects simultaneously, whilst building and maintaining relationships across various teams. Resilience is key in meeting the multiple expectations of this role.
- You will be tasked with analysing and presenting your findings and identifying patterns of non-conformance.
- As a result, you will be required to create a plan of action in order to provide solutions for any non-conformance that may occur. This will mean generating new screening processes to help tackle any issues.
THE CANDIDATE:
- The successful candidate must have a genuine passion to be a Compliance Officer through demonstrating energy and enthusiasm at the opportunity.
- You must also be able to produce effective and clear lines of communication using several different channels and methods.
- You must be driven and engaged in taking a hands-on approach with the role. This will be demonstrated through your eagerness to encourage and deliver the companies vetting service and pre-employment screening framework, that meets the company and industries key legislative requirements.
- Experience in Right to Work, Digital ID, DBS eligibility (especially, Rehabilitation of Offenders Act) is essential.
- You must have the ability to demonstrate your knowledge and use of background screening requirements including Finance, Aviation, SMCR, QCQ, BPSS, BS7858 and GDPR.
- It is essential that the successful candidate understands the importance of confidentiality and a keen eye for detail.
- You must be driven to deliver compliance training and take the time to review and design new updated material for the wider team.
- Confidence in leading a team would be beneficial in allowing you to lead on change projects in the team
- It is important that you are able to use your own initiative to get tasks done in a timely manner and reprioritise your day based on the changing workload.
- A full UK driving license is preferred but not essential.
