THE ROLE
We are currently recruiting for a new Credit Manager to join our existing Start Up Loans Team.
The role of the Credit Manager will report into the Senior Credit Operations Manager within the Credit Operation at Start-Up Loans (SUL) – a subsidiary of the British Business Bank. Start-ups provide CCA personal loans (£500-£25k) for individuals to start or grow their business.
The purpose of this role is to support responsible lending for the Start-up Loan scheme for individuals/businesses who are furthest from finance. The role is split into 4 main areas of responsibility:
To be considered for this role you must have extensive experience at lending either personal loans or business lending and have a strong understanding of credit risk strategies. You will be a self-motivated and organised individual, able to guide and train Loan Assessors through coaching and development and empowering them to make strong credit decisions. Acting as a subject matter expert, you will play a key part in managing credit quality across our external Business Support Partner Network, and thus excellent stakeholder management skills are essential to deliver the job requirements successfully.
