Contract Length : 7 months

The Role: As DEP View Generation Lead Analyst, you will be responsible to oversee the migration of existing visual templates built in the Commodity Insights proprietary language to the new DEP system, that enables S&P Global Commodity Insights to publish a wealth of data and authored content across multiple delivery channels. You will be liaising with the other operational and editorial teams to refine the requirements, analyze the downstream impact on the other systems and provide solutions. You will be working closely with other managers to perform regression testing before the launch of products.

The Impact: S&P Global Commodity Insights publish over 20,000 price assessments and various benchmarks every day and growing. Generating accurate and timely information is crucial as our customers rely on this information to help them make decisions every day. An eye for detail, problem solving, decision making, building repeatable processes and excellent communication is vital for this role

The Team: Editorial Operations is part of the Business Operations Group which is a shared service across the S&P Global Commodity Insights Content creation group and is responsible for creating and managing back-end templates and business rules that enables S&P Global Commodity Insights to publish a wealth of data and authored content across multiple delivery channels. The team also acts as second line support for queries raised by business and troubleshoot issues on real time system. Editorial Operations consists of four regional teams across Singapore, India, London, and Houston. All teams work very closely to provide nearly 24/5 coverage and is at the forefront of defining future state architecture for the price assessment process and this role will be central to evolving our operating model.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Minimum two years on job experience in Excel (advance level) and VBA scripts , Testing and process improvement

Minimum of 1-year experience and excellent understanding of Agile , scrum and LEAN methodologies and different technologies applicable to real-time services

Strong prioritization skills, flexibility , ability to respond and manage multiple deadlines effectively, strong analytical/problem solving skills and attention to detail are paramount for this role

Support conversations to clarify requests, ensure accurate understanding of scope, manage Editorial expectations on available content and offer alternatives in case of limited/unavailable content

Maturity to lead by example, willingness to get into detail as required while also balancing delegation effectively while empowering staff to make decisions

Knowledge of one or more of the following is an advantage: XML, Database knowledge, Windows environment, Commodities markets, and Taxonomy

Knowledge of using GitHub source management system.

Knowledge of testing and quality assurance

Good presentation skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work independently and a team-oriented approach, prepared to step in to assist colleagues, including those in other regions, and active in keeping other team members in the loop on problems as they arise and how they are resolved

Must be flexible to ensure required projects and tasks are completed on time
