Exciting opportunity for an Assistant Finance Manager to join a thriving Northampton-based company as they experience rapid growth!

Full time - permanent - £35,000 per annum

As an Assistant Finance Manager, your duties will include:

  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Nominal Ledger and Fixed Assets
  • Collaborating with the Finance and Operations teams to complete monthly financial reporting
  • Analysing monthly performance against prior month, budget, and prior year
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, including balance sheet and cash flow
  • Providing ad hoc reporting and analysis to aid Senior Management in decision-making
  • Monitoring the company's daily cash flow and preparing cash flow forecasts
  • Calculating accruals and prepayments, and preparing and posting necessary journals for month-end closing within agreed timelines
  • Maintaining balance sheet transparency and control by fully reconciling monthly and resolving issues promptly
  • Supporting external and internal audit work



Experience/skills required:

  • Relevant experience in a similar position
  • AAT/Part/Qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent (or QBE)
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and evaluation abilities
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle complex issues in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Excel. Sage experience is beneficial.
  • Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills.
