Finance Manager

Rate: £400 p/d

Location: Fully Remote

Duration: 6 Months

A position has arisen for a Finance Manager, the main responsibility of the role is to provide a financial management service for a designated range of services. This includes, at a cost centre level, monthly financial reporting through the production of budget reports, variance analysis, forecasting and savings reports.

Your duties will include:

• Support the business in driving transformation and value for money and is designed to build a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery
• Ensure strong financial governance is achieved and the ICB’s Standing Financial Instructions and Standing Orders are adhered to.
• Review and monitor performance of agreed savings schemes, identifying risks, opportunities and mitigating actions
• Make judgments and effective links and assessment of impacts and co-dependencies of current and emergent local and national policy, strategy and legislation and the impact on their service areas
• Lead a team to produce monthly accounts for a designated range of services, including identification of accruals and prepayments, coding corrections and budget virements

The successful candidate should have:

• Educated to master’s level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
• Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through a post-graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master’s level equivalent
• Experience of developing and presenting formal, complex business cases to non-finance Managers and Directors
• Developed communication skills for delivering key messages to a range of stakeholders both internal and external (including outside the NHS) to the organisation, some at very senior level.
• Demonstrable experience developing, managing, and motivating teams/individuals to ensure success
