Job Description

My client is a growing retail brand promoting South East & East Asian lifestyle in the UK. We’re looking for an experienced finance manager to join the team.

The ideal candidate will have finance management experience within retail/FMCG industries. They will be comfortable with day-to-day finance duties as well as planning long-term strategy, thriving under tight deadlines & changing needs. This person will oversee the entire finance function of the company reporting to the owner & Operations Director. It is an office-based role located in East London.

Responsibilities:

 Collecting, interpreting, and reviewing financial information

 Predicting future financial trends

 Reporting to management and stakeholders, and providing advice how the company and

future business decisions might be impacted

 Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables,

expenses etc.

 Developing long-term business plans based on these reports

 Reviewing, monitoring, and managing budgets

 Developing strategies that work to minimise financial risk

 Providing insights on the financial health of the organisation.

 Ensuring the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including

statutory accounting and tax issues.

 Keeping track of market trends.

 Looking for cost-reduction opportunities.

 Developing relationships with external contacts such as auditors, solicitors and HM

Revenue & Customs.

 Reviewing & approving monthly company payroll

Required skills and qualifications:

 Proven experience as a Finance Manager

 Experience in the Retail/FMCG sectors

 Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market

patterns

 Proficient user of finance software

 Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

 Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes

are being used

 A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles

 Implementing cost control & budgets

 Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations

 BA/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

 Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA/ACA/CIMA

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
