My client is a growing retail brand promoting South East & East Asian lifestyle in the UK. We’re looking for an experienced finance manager to join the team.
The ideal candidate will have finance management experience within retail/FMCG industries. They will be comfortable with day-to-day finance duties as well as planning long-term strategy, thriving under tight deadlines & changing needs. This person will oversee the entire finance function of the company reporting to the owner & Operations Director. It is an office-based role located in East London.
Responsibilities:
Collecting, interpreting, and reviewing financial information
Predicting future financial trends
Reporting to management and stakeholders, and providing advice how the company and
future business decisions might be impacted
Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables,
expenses etc.
Developing long-term business plans based on these reports
Reviewing, monitoring, and managing budgets
Developing strategies that work to minimise financial risk
Providing insights on the financial health of the organisation.
Ensuring the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including
statutory accounting and tax issues.
Keeping track of market trends.
Looking for cost-reduction opportunities.
Developing relationships with external contacts such as auditors, solicitors and HM
Revenue & Customs.
Reviewing & approving monthly company payroll
Required skills and qualifications:
Proven experience as a Finance Manager
Experience in the Retail/FMCG sectors
Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market
patterns
Proficient user of finance software
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes
are being used
A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
Implementing cost control & budgets
Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
BA/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA/ACA/CIMA
