Financial Accountant

We are looking for a skilled & practical financial accountant to join our client's team in Callington, Cornwall. You will be responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciling financial statements and accounts, and ensuring data accuracy for all the businesses in the UK wide group. You will also be required to analyse data and reports and measure trends in financial information to be used in reports for other areas of the business. Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly business accounts for review
• Balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of control packs for review
• Prepare and post prepayments
• Record entries for depreciation, amortisation and all entries related to non-current assets
• Maintain fixed asset register
• Record accruals for recurring expenses
• Enter payroll journals where required
• Weekly cashflow forecasting
• Support other team members regarding specific finance queries e.g. VAT queries
• Processing of expenses and reconciliation of credit card expenditure
• Contribute to the audit process

Qualifications and experience we are looking for:

• A minimum of AAT Level 4 (AAT qualified desirable) or CIMA or ACCA Part Qualified or previous experience of working within a finance team at a similar level.
• MS Dynamics AX experience (desirable)
