EQUANS is looking for a Lead Developer to join our Smart Buildings Team in Leeds on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

At EQUANS Smart Buildings we think about IoT on a much bigger scale. We build our own custom hardware and combine it with our cloud-hosted web platform to take control of large commercial and residential buildings – allowing us to lower carbon emissions, reduce energy usage, and improve the wellbeing of the people working or living there.

On sunny days, we’ll make sure the blinds are down just right. We control the heating and the AC, so it’s never too hot or too cold. You can forget about key cards and visitor passes because now it’s all on your smartphone. Hardware and software in perfect symphony.

This role has a huge impact on the overall success of Smart buildings, as our reputations attached to the products and service levels we provide. You’ll be adding your own spark to the products you’ll be working on, leading the team in creating something that wows the market, and impacts customers day to day lives.

What will you deliver?

Lead a Team of Software Developers

Work with the Junior Team to coach and develop

Research and build Product Road Maps

Progress Reporting and Sprint Planning

Who are we looking for?
Relevant industry experience
Extensive Node.js development experience
Extensive C# development experience
Experience developing React (or similar framework) applications
Experience mentoring and taking a technical lead on projects
Experience working in an Agile team and thorough knowledge of the processes
Ability to plan and architect complex software solutions
A desire to continually improve and balance technical debt with meeting client requirements
