The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer with a strong background in networking, including switching, routing, and firewalls. The ideal candidate will have extensive Cisco experience, specifically with ASA firewalls and Catalyst switches and ideally familiar with modern Fortinet firewalls, including FortiCloud.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong networking experience, including switching, routing, and firewalls.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco ASA firewalls and Catalyst switches.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing modern Fortinet firewalls, including FortiCloud.
• Solid understanding of network protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and MPLS.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to network infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, and Fortinet NSE are highly desirable.
• Prior experience in network design and implementation projects is a plus.

Role and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of this role is to migrate the existing Cisco ASA configuration to newly purchased Fortinet firewalls and decommission the ASA devices. This migration needs to be executed within their data-center infrastructure and across two remote sites that currently use older generation Fortinet firewalls.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing SD-WAN across all sites. It is crucial to minimize downtime throughout the migration and implementation process due to the 24x7 nature of our business.

In addition, you will be helping to design, configure, and implement complex network solutions, including switching, routing, and firewall deployments whilst troubleshooting and resolving network issues to ensure optimal performance and uptime; as well as monitoring network traffic and security to proactively identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities or threats.
