The Opportunity

We are looking for a Property Maintenance Professional to join as a key member of our core delivery team. Our core delivery team provides exceptional end-to-end property maintenance services to our residential and commercial customers.

You will have the opportunity to join a leading property maintenance business and carrying out a range of handyman duties for homeowners and businesses in Bearsted and surrounding areas.

You will be provided with a fully maintained vehicle and fuel card.

You will also be provided with a full uniform.

Duties and responsibilities

• Delivering a wide range of projects from start to finish which will typically include building repairs, property maintenance jobs, electrics, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping and decorating. This will either be by yourself or leading a team.
• Carry out surveys to assist in quote building.
• Keeping the jobs on track and running to tight deadlines and within budget.
• To deliver excellent customer service as measured by customer feedback.
• To liaise with customers and manage their expectations.
• To collect materials or building supplies for the jobs as and when required.

Key skills and attributes

• Able to demonstrate the ability to deliver projects on your own initiative or leading a team.
• Experience of delivering projects from start to finish.
• Solutions focused and able to overcome challenges.
• Withstand working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Extremely organised with good communication and listening skills.
• Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving.
• You must be neat, tidy and have excellent time keeping.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures and precautions, including COSHH regulations and an awareness of health and hygiene procedures.
• Able to regularly handle/carry large and heavy items and machinery.
• Have an interest in personal learning to improve your handyman skills and knowledge.
• Own your own basic hand and power tools.
• Hold a full, clean UK driver's license.
• Speak fluent English.

Working Environment
Being a Hire a Hubby in the core delivery team will mean you will be expected to undertake bending, lifting and stretching in the course of your duties e.g. minor maintenance work, remedial painting and decorating, repairs to fixing, receiving deliveries of goods and equipment, setting out and putting away furniture. Due to the nature of the work there is an expectation that the post holder will be exposed to dirt and dust on occasions.

Probationary Period – 3 Months
Starting Salary - £25,000.00 which will be reviewed following successful completion of your probationary period
Location – Within 10 miles of Bearsted*
Days & Hours: Monday – Friday- Your usual hours will be from 8am to 5pm (1 x hours unpaid lunch per day)*.
*However, you will be expected to work as, when and where necessary to meet the needs of the business.
