Job Description

A renowned and respected manufacturer of aerospace parts is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their growing organisation. With headquarters based in Nottingham, this company continues to go from strength to strength.

As a Quality Engineer reporting to the Quality Manager, you will become an integral part of the quality team, ensuring that all products and services meet the company's quality standards, by developing and implementing quality control procedures, inspecting components at various stages of production, and conducting quality audits

Some main Quality Engineer responsibilities are listed below:

  • Develop and implement quality standards and procedures.This includes creating quality plans, defining quality metrics, and developing test procedures. Define quality metrics that are relevant to the products or services being produced.
  • Monitor and inspect products and processes.This includes conducting visual inspections, measuring dimensions, and testing functionality. Identify potential quality issues during the production process. Measure the quality of products and services to ensure that they meet the established standards.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues.This includes root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and process improvement. Identify the root cause of quality issues. Develop corrective action plans that will prevent the same issues from happening again. Implement process improvements that will improve the overall quality of products and services.
  • Communicate with stakeholders.This includes working with engineers, managers, and customers to ensure that quality is a top priority.
  • Stay up to date on quality standards and best practices.This includes reading industry publications, attending conferences, and taking continuing education courses.

The successful candidate will be experienced working as a Quality Engineer within the aerospace industry, have an excellent understanding of aerospace components and be familiar with the fill quality toolkit
