We have a wonderful opportunity for a Registered Manager at our Park House Neurological Rehabilitation Service in Bedfordshire.

Park house is a service providing accommodation for 14 adult residents. The team at Park House work together to develop person-centred, evidence based rehabilitation care plans that aim to maximise the individual’s independence and recovery. The service is all wheelchair accessible and includes a wheelchair accessible lift, training kitchen and garden.

We look to build on our residents progress and provide them with key life skills, with each resident having access to an interdisciplinary care team consisting of a Rehabilitation Medicine Consultant, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists, as required.

What you'll be working:

We can be flexible but you will work a total 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

As Registered Manager there is an expectation to be available outside of these hours in an emergency.


What you'll be doing:

  • Work independently with responsibility for all aspects of running the service, ensuring colleagues empower the people we support.
  • Lead a valued team of Support Workers and Therapists maximising the potential of the individuals within it.
  • Manage and supervise the team, ensuring that appropriate management arrangements are in place at the unit at all times, including out of hours on-call.
  • Ensure all care standards, regulatory standards, and other quality measurement criteria are met, and that all notifications to the relevant regulatory bodies, are made as required and in a timely fashion.
  • Responsible for all aspects of budgetary management.
  • Attaining and maintaining full bed occupancy, through appropriate commissioner relationships, marketing and referral processing.
  • Responsible for the overall recruitment and retention; supervision/appraisal and development of all colleagues on a day-to-day basis.
  • Act as a role model for the company behaviours and culture and be an ambassador for ACG both internally and externally.
  • Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights.

What you'll have:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a similar setting.
  • Experience of managing a team of Support Workers and Therapists.
  • QCF or NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or a qualification as Nurse or Therapist
  • Good Leadership skills
  • Excellent understanding of the relevant regulatory framework, regulations and legislation
  • Excellent analytical and budgetary skills
  • The ability to influence and advise at all levels.
  • Demonstrable experience of coaching and developing colleagues
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
