ABOUT THE JOB
Job purpose
Responsible for documenting ideas into business requirements, analysing processes and data flows and suggesting tangible solutions which could deliver value to our stakeholders across the organisation.
You will work with the Senior Project Manager, Senior BA and Capability Lead and subject matter experts from all areas of the business to take responsibility for pulling together, documenting and agreeing the requirements. You will additionally be required to assist the Senior BA and Capability lead in developing and monitoring BA processes and procedures.

You can help MS Amlin to achieve this by:
- Working with Senior Business Analyst’s provide business analyst on large projects/ programme. Features of could be-
- Projects involving multiple business units and multiple customers globally
- Projects with moderate to high level of risks
- Projects with intermediate to wide breadth and sensitivity of stakeholders
- Shaping – ability to assist in taking nebulous concepts and form into tangible deliverables
- Gather and document business requirements (both functional and non-functional) to ensure that the full business and IT impact has been thought through
- Ability to filter out ‘non-value add’ ideas
- To explore solution(s) to the customer's requirements and to recommend the best approach
- Form effective working relations across different sets of stakeholders
- Analyse and document processes and data flows through effective engagement with the business and IT
- Promote adoption of the target processes and procedures
- Provide advice and guidance on functional interdependencies identified during requirements analysis
- Perform an internal junior assurance role to review the requirements design and other business analysis documentation (Peer Review)
- Escalate identified risks or issues
- To assist the customer in the adoption of the resulting solution, to ensure that the customers gain maximum benefit from the implementation
- To become an influential member of the project team in determining the most suitable solution to a customer’s opportunity
- Conduct process re-engineering through effective engagement with the business utilising methodologies and tolls as laid down by MS Amlin.
What we are looking for:
- Strong insurance service industry background, Lloyds Market Exp
- Minimum 5 years of business analysis experience
- Knowledge of core insurance processes will be an advantage
- Working with IT analysts, project mamagers and senior IT stakeholders
- Knowledge of financial systems such as Oracle or Coda
- Should have been part of projects ranging small to larger scale
- Experience of working with technical, solution, data, business and Enterprise architects
- Experience of working on Agile and Waterfall projects
- Experience with outsourcing and /or external third-party suppliers/partners
- Strong understanding and experience of business process mapping and reengineering
- Ability to multitask and to work tasks without daily supervisor interaction
- Project delivery is global, hence some element of travel across Amlin offices may be required
- Experience of data migration would be preferable
- Experience of working with technical architects
