Here at Extramile we are looking to expand our web development team. We are looking for a proactive individual with a passion for software and tech to join the team.
Key responsibilities of the position:
- Working towards level 3 software development apprenticeship
- Building and testing simple code in WordPress CMS
- Supporting senior developers with projects
- Participate in code reviews and testing to ensure high-quality code and user experience
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements and develop solutions that meet the needs of the business and users
- Identifying and fixing bugs
- Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in web development
- Taking part in daily scrum meetings
- Support the team with any ad-hoc tasks
- Learn from experienced developers and contribute to the development process while building your skills and knowledge in web development

Entry requirements
- 4 GCSEs grade A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English and Maths)
Training to be provided
Our Software Apprenticeships enable you and your company to build and test high-quality code across multiple platforms and layers. Apprentices will work as part of larger teams to help drive elements in an overall project.

The Level 4 Software Developer Apprenticeship has been developed to play a significant role in code development for your business. - Software Methodologies

- SQL / Database design
- Introduction to Programming Using Java – Opportunity to undertake the Microsoft Technology Associate Exam
