Position Summary
As the Spa Operations Manager at St Pancras Renaissance you are responsible for managing and supervising all areas of the spa, including its programs, services, hours of operation, pool facilities, gym, changing areas and staff. Coordinates the delivery of spa services including spa, skin care, fitness & wellness, massage, program coordinating, reservations, reception desk and locker room areas. As a department head, directs and works with the management team and hourly associates to successfully execute all spa / leisure operations; strives to continually improve guest and associate satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department. Spa operations Manager role is responsible for developing the Spa team in providing five star service to guests within the Spa area.
You’ll need to know your stuff:
- Directs the daily operations of the spa according to Marriott Operating Standards
- Assist the Assistant Director of Spa to develop and implement the spa's marketing strategy to build top-line revenue. In coordination with your DOPS, develops co-op marketing programs for outside product lines. Manages revenue sources such as spa product sales, food and beverage and membership enrolments to generate increased revenue.
- Ensures products and services delivered by the spa meet or exceed guest expectations. Builds customer loyalty through product and service excellence. Works on a plan to increase memberships
- Hires, develops and retains a diverse workforce to deliver excellent products and services. Creates and sustains a work environment that focuses on fair and equitable treatment and associate satisfaction to enable business success
- In coordination with your DOPS, works with selected vendors for spa retail operations to deliver an outstanding guest service spa experience
- it your responsibility to use initiative and a proactive approach to ensure we always give our guests unique and fabulous options to make the most of their time and their visit and to make their experience in the Spa areas unique.
- Assist the Assistant Director of Spa for COSHH and Health and Safety Standards.
- Follows the lost property procedures.
- Complies with Brand Standards when cleaning and getting each room ready for the guest arrival.
- Knowledge of Health, Safety and Hygiene (sanitation, cleanliness)

- Deliver an exceptionally high standard of five star luxury lifestyle service for every guest interaction.
- Lead by example with brilliant positive attitude, grooming standard, body language and tone need to be positive, supportive and on brand at all times.

- You’re expected to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene standards of all areas at all times.
- You are also expected to carry out other duties that may be required to ensure the overall hotel operation is properly maintained to provide a total guest experience.
- Shift patterns for this role are not set and will require you to be available for morning, afternoon, evening shifts as per the weekly rota. Requests for continuous specific shift patters unfortunately cannot be agreed to. Individual requests for specific or ‘one-off’ days off will be reviewed on a case by case basis as they arise and may be granted for a specific week [if the business is able to accommodate the request] however such requests will unfortunately not be granted on a continuous basis as these would then form part of a specific shift pattern.
