Job Description
Start your day knowing you will make a difference!
The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is a leading voluntary organisation, supporting people with a broad range of needs to live in their own homes, as part of their community. We are an organisation driven by strong values and a firm commitment to choice, dignity and social inclusion. Although we support over 2800 people throughout Scotland, we are committed to delivering services that recognise people as individuals and treat them with dignity and respect; just like we would all want ourselves.
We are currently looking to recruit a Complex Needs Practitioner - Level 2 to join our staff team at our Wallacewell Gate Complex Needs Service and are looking for someone who can help our supported individuals achieve their own positive outcomes.
As a Complex Needs Practitioner - Level 2 you will be part of a committed team, supporting individuals with a variety of complex needs, including learning disabilities & autism. Both ladies supported at our Wallacewell Gate service require full support with all aspects of their life including personal care, support with cooking meals, general household tasks, shopping and attending appointments. Both ladies have complex communication needs and we use a variety of tools to meet their needs. Both ladies can get anxious and display challenging behaviour.
Previous experience of working within a care setting and supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour is essential for this role. It would be beneficial if you have achieved or are working towards your SVQ 2 in Care.
If you`re fit and healthy with a wide range of personal interests and activities, and are willing to share your community contacts with those you support, this could be the opportunity for you.
We are seeking someone who is looking to progress their career and is committed to achieving excellent outcomes for the people we support and our staff. Our CNP level 2 will have an interest in positive Behaviour Support and it is desirable that this has been used in practice. Our CNP level 2 will assist with coaching and mentoring our staff team and help to move the team forward, be an excellent communicator and be willing to complete the Practice Leadership Course to expand on their skills.
You will join an experienced team full of enthusiastic staff that will provide support and guidance and you will also receive excellent training including CALM training.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a change in your life and in that of the people we support. The work can be challenging, but as well as a competitive salary, enhanced pension contributions, annual leave and discounts at over 850 online and high street retailers, we can offer you a rewarding and satisfying role in your local community.
PVG checks will be required of all successful applicants; having a conviction will not necessarily debar you from working in this sector.
All new staff members will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of their start date.
Closing Date: 9th June 2023. (We reserve the right to close this vacancy at any time)
