We are seeking an inspirational teacher who has experience of raising achievement and effectively supporting students who require an altered curriculum to support their success. Currently, we support the progress of students through our nurture provision in Years 7, 8 and 9. Our KS4 students receive a more bespoke package of support as needed and can access a range of alternative qualifications to best enable their next steps.
This is an opportunity to be part of the team and be responsible for planning and delivering this bespoke curriculum for students accessing the ELP. You will teach in a designated classroom base and work across the Hub.
The goal is to enable these students to catch up with core skills, to promote self-esteem, confidence and independent learning. A knowledge and understanding of primary strategies and expertise in the science of learning is required. Wider experience of skills such as phonics teaching would be an advantage. You will have the opportunity to work with our SEND team and play a part in our Teaching and Learning team.
Our students come first, and we encourage every student to strive for the highest possible levels of academic achievement alongside developing the personal attributes and qualities to thrive and make a positive contribution throughout life. Our students have an increasingly excellent record of success in gaining strong results at GCSE.
Post Requirements: Expertise in primary, middle school/KS3 curriculum development. Experience of KS4 and alternative provision would be welcome and experience of supporting students with SEMH and other SEND needs, an advantage.
