Job Description
Position: Experienced Teaching Assistant/ HLTA for pupils with Autism (KS1 - KS4)
Location: Barking
Working hours: 09:00 - 15:00
Salary: £90 - £120 daily
Start: Immediately, ongoing long-term contract. 5 days a week
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism across KS1 - KS4 at our school in Barking. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for working with pupils with additional needs and be committed to ensuring that every student achieves their full potential. Not only will the successful Teaching Assistant benefit from shorter hours, continuous training and development is important to the school, so you will be enrolled onto a training programme.
Responsibilities:
Support pupils with Autism across KS1 - KS4 in the classroom
Work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support to pupils with Autism
Develop positive relationships with pupils and help to build their confidence and self-esteem
Assist with planning and preparing resources for lessons
Monitor and record pupil progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher
Requirements:
Experience working with pupils with Autism
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A patient and calm approach to working with pupils with additional needs
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
A willingness to undertake training and professional development
