About the Role

Base Location: Carolina Port Stores, Dundee

Salary: £42,691 to £49,626 + car / allowance + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The role is to enhance the current and future warehousing and material management to the Transmission Operations field teams and manage all LOLER inspections for all Operational lifting equipment. Whilst also assisting in meeting our ambitious net-zero, the role will operationally manage and develop the waste management processes interfacing with the sustainability and environmental teams within the Transmission and wider SSE Group staff.

The duties and responsibilities of the Warehouse and Transport Manager are:

• Strategically manage SSE Transmission warehouse facilities in compliance with company policies and vision.

• Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and warehouse maintenance operations.

• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security within all warehouse facilities and ensure all vehicles are compliant with SSE's procedures.

• Manage small team of Resource Controllers for the Transmission business including the logistic support.

• Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided taking steps to avoid quality issues. Ensures all materials are stored in accordance with manufacturers and SHET specifications.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

• Knowledge of High Voltage electrical equipment.

• Warehouse and Logistics management.

• Environmental and Waste Management.

- H&S Compliance - IOSH or equivalent trained.

• Line Management experience.
