Job Description

The Assistant Accountant role is initially a 12 month Fixed Term Contract which could be extended and will be mainly office based. Reporting into the Financial Controller Key responsibilities will include:

  • Processing Payroll & Expenses
  • Preparation of accruals, prepayments and posting journals.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintenance of Fixed Asset register.
  • Calculation and accounting for customer rebates.
  • Preparation of Vat Returns
  • Assisting with the preparation of year end financials and assisting in the audit process, liaising closely with auditors

The Successful Applicant

In order to apply for the role you should:

  • Be AAT Studier/AAT Qualified or CIMA/ACCA Part Qualified or Qualified by experience
  • Have experience of posting journals/bank reconciliaton in an Accounts role
  • Be able to consider a 12 month contract
  • Be able to commute to Oldham office
