The Surgery Division has an opportunity for an Associate Speciality General Manager full time (37.5 hours) to join their team within the Endoscopy and Bowel cancer screening service
The post holder will provide leadership and expert advice to the Directorate General Manager, the Divisional Leadership Team and throughout the organisation to ensure that best practice, standards, tools and techniques are in place.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for working with nursing teams, administration team Clinicians and Divisional leadership teams to ensure that the endoscopy and bowel cancer screening services are operationally managed on a day to day basis ensuring robust performance management to various targets, financial and budgetary management and line management.
The post holder will also lead on a series of improvement projects across the two services, with an aim to deliver an ambitious projects and services for patients with endoscopy & bowel cancer screening needs
The post holder will be expected to travel and work across all three sites, but also to spend time at SFH and the wider health community, including other Trusts in the region. The post holder will be expected to deputise for managers on occasion and ensure sufficient cover for colleagues.
The post holder may also be required to link in with other pathways and various projects to provide support and guidance.

The post holder will work with the Surgery Leadership Team to manage the services to achieve the Trust’s vision of being ‘Outstanding in health outcomes and patient and staff experience. The post holder will be responsible for providing business support for the services within the business unit. The role includes aspects of operational and performance management as well as service development to ensure that the service achieves its performance objectives.
