Role Purpose and key accountabilities

Digital Business Change Team was set up in early 2020 to enable the delivery of the digital and data transformation programme globally. Core focus for the Change Team is the people (cultural / behavioural) element, to ensure the new ways of working are clearly defined and communicated to our target audience, so that we can successfully drive adoption of change and realise benefits. The Team is also managing a network of approximatly 150 Global Digital Change Agents (GD-CAN) to support embedding of change within their areas (comms cascade, inputting into user readiness activities, regular provision of feedback, participating in the definition of user experience activities and many more).

This role provides the opportunity to apply business change expertise to allocated work packages on Qinetiq's Digital Transformation Program.

You will lead the delivery of selected change activities, as allocated by the Group Digital Business Change Manager – these will be drawn from, but not confined to, the following:

Contributing to and delivering business change activities as per the change plan

Contributing to and delivering site visits as the source of information that drives the delivery of the change

Tactical / operational comms activities (AIDA, ADKAR)

Definition of, design of and distribution of new ways of working supported by business users and implemented Digital solutions, to drive the expected behaviours, with the view to realise business benefits

Coordination of activities that drive the business readiness for the change

Training strategy and delivery (where applicable); this includes conducting the training needs analysis and consideration of different learning styles (using e.g. VARK)

Producing and packaging user readiness materials to support the transition of our people into the new ways of operating

Generating post go-live user satisfaction surveys to assess the levels of new behaviours and change embedding.

Contributing to governance and cooperation within and outside of the Business Change team tthat is conducive to information sharing, driving the delivery, and mitigates knowledge gaps

Suggestions of ways of improving users experience and their transition from the AS IS to TO BE

Working with different teams outside of Transformation Program to successfully transition into BAU

Key Capabilities/Knowledge

Strategic thinker: ability to define change value proposition to fit in with the context of the Transformation program and to support strategic direction of QinetiQ

Customer oriented: ability to design and deliver change interventions with our customers in mind (external / internal); being able to identify and successfully engage with key stakeholders across QinetiQ globally

Comprehensive understanding of change management tools / models and their practical application

Proven track record in the delivery of business change initiatives

Communication skills: excellent communication skills; ability to ensure a two-way dialog and demonstrate empathy to help us achieve digital transformation objectives

Self-starter with great attention to detail; ability to work with greater levels of ambiguity

Ability to influence others and manage expectations

Ability to work with moderate level of guidance

Experience & Qualifications

Qualified APMG Change Management Practitioner with substantial equivalent experience

Needs to work independently and be Subject Matter Expert in change discipline

Experience of working in a high-paced environment with multiple priorities

Previous experience in Project / Programme Management and / or Business Analysis field would be beneficial
