Field based role, working from home, covering the UK - can live anywhere in the UK Manufacturer and turnkey warehouse automation solutions provider require a proven business developer to increase their sales of multimillion turnkey solutions across the UK. The company is part of a major engineering group with a history stretching back seventy years. This fast-paced and highly varied role requires an individual with a substantial depth of knowledge of various industries and manufacturing processes. Clients include major manufacturers in food and drink, pharmaceutical, engineering, aerospace, defence, chemical, automotive, high-performance automotive and industrial. This can be a technically complex, project-driven role but is equally a highly commercial role requiring a keen ability to negotiate huge contracts involving multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be an excellent relationship builder that is practical and 'hands on' in approach and technically inquisitive; the kind of person that genuinely wants to understand a client's processes to best serve them.

The role As the Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for: • Developing and executing sales plans • Building relationships with key decision-makers • Closing deals • Providing technical support to customers • Ensuring customer satisfaction • You will also be part of the Senior Leadership Team and have a strong involvement in company direction The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience: • 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the industrial automation or warehouse automation industry. Alternatively, your experience could be in racking, shelving, materials handling, conveyors, or related industries. • Someone used to working autonomously and motivated to deliver the business and earn very high levels of commission. The commission is uncapped and several hundred thousands of OTE is realistic. The role requires someone that is highly motivated by earning potential. • Contacts within major manufacturers or major logistics firms, including 3PL. • Proven track record of success in selling complex and high-value multimillion-pound solutions. • Strong understanding of the industrial market • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Self-motivated and results-oriented What you will get in return • A competitive salary and benefits package, including: • Base salary of 50,000 to 80,000 • Unlimited OTE.
