Business support Assistant

WORK FROM HOME WITH OCCASIONAL TRAVEL TO LONDON/BIRMINGHAM FOR SITE TRIPS - EXPENSES COVERED

We are currently recruiting for an Admin assistant to work with one of our fantastic Public Sector clients in Coventry.

This a 3 month temporary position initially, with chance of extension, but one in which you would be able to gain valuable exposure/experience working within the Public Sector.

If you have worked within the public sector before this would be advantageous but not essential. If you have transferable experience, then we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities to include:
Undertaking all administrative duties such as photocopying and sorting and prioritising mail and e-mail where required. Distributing as appropriate.

Managing the electronic diary for the Manager/Director, including arranging and changing appointments, prioritising these as appropriate.

Organising and planning events as directed, providing all necessary supporting in local materials.

Plan and co-ordinate appointments, including rearranging and prioritising as appropriate.

Provide support to senior team meetings including organising meetings, booking rooms, and ensuring papers are ready and distributed for meetings

Receive telephone calls for the department and use initiative to appropriately manage phone calls and messages.

Candidate requirements:
Have previous experience within an administration role (preferable)
Have good IT skills
Be able to remain calm under pressure
Be able to work with very confidential and sensitive information
Be able to provide 3 years of referencing

Standard hours are 37 hours per week Monday - Friday
Pay rate of £12.25 per hour which is paid weekly.
