Typical Work Activities
All aspects of food preparation; cooking, baking, presentation
Preparation of meals for Residential visitors.
Keeping administrative & food hygiene records
Keeping the kitchen to a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness
Serving food & interacting with customers
Supervising team members within the catering team
Personal Skills
Flexible with an outgoing cheerful disposition and the ability to “muck in” as part of a small team is essential. A friendly happy person, willing to help other team members as well as visitors and able to work in an unsupervised environment and to supervise new team members at various times. Hours of Work
40 hours per week
Flexible to ensure the satisfactory completion of the job. General working hours are 9am to 5pm including weekend work, working on a regular rota.
Some slightly unsociable working hours may include Breakfast (8am start) or Evening meal (6.30pm Finish) providing meals for our residential students.
Rates of Pay
£26,000 Salary equivalent, paid monthly in arrears.
