Our Opportunity:

5 Year Degree Apprenticeship leading to Assistant Engineer on successful completion

Start Date: September 2023

Location - Gloucester

As a Degree apprentice, you’ll be given real responsibility from day one, gaining invaluable experience working alongside your team designing some of the most innovative and exciting highways infrastructure across the UK.

Our designs include all elements of Highways Infrastructure including: Structures (bridges), Highway, Drainage, Geotech (surveying ground conditions)

Designing infrastructure projects, with high-profile clients, such as National Highways and Local Authorities our design projects include the UK’s first carbon neutral road improvement project in Cumbria as well as overhead gantry signage on the M25, improving safety on the A66 with the design and installation of a 42m bridge, M6 Junction 19 improvements whilst ensuring the UK’s Highways network continues to operate.

We therefore keep our list of essential requirements to a minimum, but there are a few things needed to qualify for our programme:

  • Minimum Qualifications are:
    • Three A Levels including Maths– 112 UCAS points; or
    • BTEC National Diploma or Extended Diploma Civil Engineering or
  • L3 Civil Engineering Technician Available to commence employment with Amey in September 2023
  • The commitment and drive to complete your Apprenticeship and final end point assessment
