We are currently looking for a Content Marketing Executive to join our team at our Head Office in Ampfield, near Romsey. This is being offered on a permanent basis

The Content Marketing Executive will be responsible for content creation and copywriting to support the marketing and e-commerce plans, predominantly concentrating on product content and inspirational website content with a focus on SEO.

You will be responsible for researching, creating, and delivering engaging and timely content for all Hillier B2C and B2B marketing channels, as well as providing content for 3rd parties where requested. The content required is gardening and horticulture based, so an interest in this area would be advantageous.

The salary for this role is up to £25,000 per annum dependant on experience. We also offer 31 days annual leave, an employee discount of 20% and free parking.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop the annual content strategy and monthly content plans to both inspire our customers and support the business’ commercial objectives, with a strong focus on digital content and SEO
  • Consistently review and update current website content to maintain upto-date information and product knowledge for our customersDevise SEOrich content that is well aligned with brand tone of voice and upload it to our website using Wordpress
  • Add relevant backlinks within Wordpress to create a continuous customer journey through the website
  • Produce high quality content and editorial for the Gardening Club magazines and other mailings, press releases, advertising and emails
  • Work with external agencies to plan and execute appropriate content briefs to support our campaigns
  • Be our brand voice lead; work collaboratively with other team members and departments to ensure consistency in brand and campaign messages
  • Work within the Ecommerce team to produce product content and website descriptions
  • Work with the Marketing team on the inception and development of creative ideas and concepts for individual campaigns
  • Work with Merchandising and Graphic Design teams to help produce POS content for each campaign
  • Monitor content success in order to improve future performance
  • Support the Digital Manager and Ecommerce team in other activities to support the business
  • Promote the Hillier brand values and maintain a consistent brand identity in everything you do
  • Other related adhoc duties as reasonably requested by the Digital Manager or Head of Marketing

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in content marketing with an SEO focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent creative writing skills
  • Demonstrable experience creating content for ECommerce, Marketing and SEO
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Experience or an interest in the horticultural industry
  • Experience using Google Analytics
  • Experience using a content management system to update website content
