Your New Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Operational Controller in Stoke-on-Trent. As an Operational Controller, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and control of Amey's operational activities in Stafford. You will be responsible for ensuring that our services are delivered efficiently and effectively, and that our clients are satisfied with the quality of our work.

Your key responsibilities will include:


  • Managing the daily activities of highway operatives against programmes, including direct contact with stakeholder when appropriate, in line with agreed timescales and in accordance with SLAs & commercial contracts
  • Co-ordinating with supervisors in the event of on-site issues
  • Review, suspend and reject jobs on Works Management systems
  • Permitting works in line with NRSWA and national guidance
  • Schedule & co-ordinate emergencies

The standard hours of work are Monday to Friday - 7:30am till 4pm, flexible hours, with a minimum of 2 days on site.
