Job Description
-Our Sourcing Coordinator will be a key partner for the Product Development, Production and Merchandising teams. They will take ownership of select New Product Development projects as well as handle Special Orders, Repairs and Customer Calls. They will support the Diamond Sourcing Manager on High Jewellery calls and work closely with our existing team members to update and align reporting across the relevant work streams.

  • Manage all diamond sourcing activities for specified new collections, from prototype through launch
  • Assess diamond requirements in terms of type, quality, cost, feasibility, and current and future availability, and work closely with cross-functional PD group to support intelligent diamond selection with an eye to current inventories
  • Be highly responsive to ambitious lead time requirements and launch schedules for new product development
  • Provide options, costs, timelines and technical specifications for special orders and client calls
  • Liaise with our approved stable of ethical gemstone suppliers to secure supply at the best available prices for special orders, calls, prototypes and new product launches
  • Ensure that all diamonds selected and supplied adhere to rigorous DBJ standards of quality, sourcing ethics and IoD and/or GIA laboratory certification guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records in SAP regarding movements of diamonds at each stage in the product development lifecycle
  • Provide daily feedback to relevant stakeholders about project progress
  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot potential sourcing issues
  • Track and report on Consignment stocks
  • Ongoing monitoring of production processes until Collections move over to Replenishment status
  • Support Diamond Sourcing Manager on Couture and High Jewellery projects as required
  • IoD/GIA charge monitoring and reporting
  • Ad hoc reporting (invoicing, quality control, supplier performance etc.)

Qualifications
-Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree educated, BA/MSc in New Product Development / Project Management
  • Min of 4-5 years in Project Management/Product Development
  • GIA, Gem-A or other general diamond/jewellery background preferred
