Digital Tech Lead (2yr FTC)

As part of the growing Technology and Data Directorate, the Digital Products Team work on NSPCC's key products that support critical services for children, adults, supporters, volunteers, staff and our commercial partners. We work across the full product lifecycle making sure products such as Childline, the NSPCC website and our Volunteer Hub are meeting the needs of their users, contributing to our strategic goals, and delivering valuable outcomes.
In this new and critical role, you'll be responsible for shaping and embedding our engineering and testing practices. Working heavily with our 3rd party suppliers and internal tech teams, you'll streamline our development processes to ensure all technical changes are well scoped, managed effectively and tested appropriately.
We'd like you to be an excellent communicator, a pragmatic decision maker and a natural collaborator. You'll need:
  • deep technological expertise
  • a solid background in software development and testing
  • experience of defining strategies/operational frameworks and improving processes
  • experience of managing 3rd party suppliers and leading an outsourced software development function.
