Your New Role


We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Junior Document Services Designer based at the MOD at Whitehall headquarters in London.

Document Designers play an important role designing various outputs including booklets, guides, reports, logos and banners for print and web.

The standard hours of work are 37.5 Per Week

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing various outputs including booklets, guides, reports, logos and banners for print and web
  • Ensure design and production of completed outputs adheres to MoD & Amey brand guidelines
  • Receive and discuss design project briefs with building stakeholders
  • Enhance print outputs with toner layering and spot colour effects
  • Output files ready for in-house automated flatbed cutter
  • Offer expert design advice to customers and detail other departmental services
  • Support the Text Preparation team in creating outputs such as stationary and business cards
  • Plan and prioritise workflow to ensure multiple task deadlines are met
  • Monitor CAFM tasks and respond accordingly
  • Support the wider Document Services department when necessary

What makes this role unique is the opportunity to provide professional and efficient services and support within the main Building branch and business units. This includes, departmental support that covers reception, porters, AV, MIS, Mail Room and the department Document Services.


We want to hear from you if you have:


Experience of previous Graphic Design and including:

  • DV Security clearance is essential.
  • Proficient at using a wide range of software including Adobe Creative Suite and Affinity Creative Software
  • Customer service focused background
  • Competent with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Advanced in Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting
  • Well versed in ongoing digital print developments and innovations
  • Experience with CAM
  • All round enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
