Job description

As an ICT Test Manager you will:

  • work alongside business analysts, technical teams, project managers, users, external suppliers, and some members of the general public, to perform all tests required to assure the highest level of quality for the delivered IT solutions.
  • define and deliver end-to-end testing strategies, including functional/ (e.g. user acceptance, accessibility), non-functional (performance /reliability /usability etc), systems integration and automation testing across both existing systems and new project developments.
  • Embrace a ‘hands on’ approach, taking responsibility for the overall testing process, including resources, costs, timescales, test scripts / deliverables and traceability.
  • Ensure integrity of testing and will look for process improvements, contribute to corporate testing standards and best practice.

Person specification

The Successful Applicant should have:

  • Extensive experience in the role of Test Manager, the test project lifecycle and stakeholder management.
  • display excellent communication and planning skills, have a drive for continuous improvement and a thorough understanding of the end-to-end testing process.
  • experience with IT systems and business processes ideally within a public sector setting and be comfortable in communicating complicated technical issues to senior non-technical stakeholders.
