Position: HR Officer
Location: Head Office, Glasgow
Job Type: Full time, permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm, Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm
Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 per annum

Purpose of Role:
The HR Officer will assist the HR Business Partner and Group Head of HR in reviewing and updating current procedures and providing support to the HR department and wider recruitment function and help contribute to the growth and development of the HR function and overall business.

In your new role, your key responsibilities will be:
HR
  • Support colleagues across the business regarding HR queries
  • Draft HR letters using company templates
  • Support with systems implementation (PeopleHR)
  • Coordinate diaries to arrange meetings
  • Support team members with various HR tasks
  • Offer Advisory and facilitate grievances, absenteeism and other HR matters

Recruitment
  • Assist the Recruitment Manager with sourcing of staff for all departments
  • Interviewing Facilitate and participate in interviews
  • Recruitment administration driving approval processes, writing, and publishing internal and external job adverts
  • Creation of job descriptions, creation of employee files, maintenance of employee database
  • Provide a consultative approach; specialist advice and guidance to managers
  • Follow up with managers for interview feedback
  • Offer negotiation, and update unsuccessful candidates
  • Maintain ATS

Onboarding
  • Assist the Recruitment & Onboarding Manager with all onboarding procedures
  • Track return of contracts and onboarding documents
  • Input all new starts onto company systems
  • Request and track completed referencing on all new starts
  • Ensure all new joiners receive their welcome packs/IT logins etc on their first day

Fleet
  • Support with driver background checks
  • Order and arrange delivery of fuel cards
  • Process leavers and return of equipment
  • Ensure relevant procedures are followed
  • Book in relevant maintenance / arrange courtesy vehicle
  • Maintain database of vehicle users and registrations

Experience:
To be considered for this opportunity it is essential that you have previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced Human Resources environment as well as a similar industry. Youll be an excellent team player who can also take responsibility for your own workload. You will be a proficient user of Excel and PowerPoint, and any previous knowledge of PeopleHR system or similar Access-based applications would be helpful.
