Job Description

Key Accountabilities

Data Exploration: Think outside the box to identify & test new sources of information that unlock new business value. Work with data from multiple sources to identify underlying patterns and create forecasts based on previous data trends. Determine additional data needed to support advanced insights.

• Machine Learning: Build and maintain end-to-end Machine Learning pipelines. Create repeatable, dynamic & scalable models, delivering valuable insights to the business.
• Data Storytelling: Summarize data analysis findings and guides readers through a compelling, data-driven story.

Project Delivery: Oversee, direct colleagues, and participate in the delivery of data science activities within a project/initiative setting.

• Collaborate with data teams and business stakeholders to elicit, refine and demonstrate a clear understanding of analytics requirements.
• Communicate recommendations to business partners and influence future plans based on insights. Ability to distill informal customer requirements into problem definitions, dealing with ambiguity.

Required Qualification and Experience

• Bachelors/master’s in engineering, Statistics, Econometrics etc.
• 4+ years of experience in analytical and problem-solving engagements. Quantitative or statistical analysis, data mining, predictive or statistical modeling, applied programming, data management, data transformation, data visualization, and/or quantitative or statistical research
• Should have worked in solving business problems in functional areas like Manufacturing or Sales
• Experience in reporting platforms such as Power BI/Qliksense/Tableau.
• Experience in at least one modern programming language (Python, SAS, R)
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with relational databases and SQL; NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, Couch DB, Riak) and unstructured data; Spark; Pig and Avro
• Preferable to have worked with cloud advanced analytics platforms on AWS, Azure, GCP
• Experience with building pipelines from application databases.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills, ability to convey rigorous mathematical concepts and considerations to non-experts.
