Manufacturing Manager
Salary: £45,000 to £50,000

Location: Beverley
Our client is the largest independent manufacturer in their field and due to the growth and restructure of the business an exciting opportunity has arisen for a new role within the Beverley site for a Manufacturing Manager. They require someone who is skilled and eager to make a difference.
As Manufacturing Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all the production and warehouse processes, coordinating all production activities and operations. Working to a production plan and drawing up a production schedule to maximise efficiencies, and would expect you to drive quality and efficiency throughout the manufacturing facility.
THE ROLE:
Working on and improving processes within the manufacturing facility
Driving efficiency's throughout the business and ensuring staff are achieving company OTIF/OEE standards
Produce goods to a high standard, on time to meet customer demand/delivery promises
Achieving lowest cost production and efficiency
Oversee waste and management and staff productivity
Establish high performing staff with a training and development programme
Ensure high quality products are made to specification and meeting the needs of customers
Comply with all legal requirements in accordance to ISO 9001, 14001,45001
Operate and observe machine operations ensuring quality of products are to specification
Ensure effective storage solutions of raw materials and packaging
Provide daily written/verbal information to Operations Director reporting performance and quality of products
Create Production and Operational reports
Be involved with the operational management team attending monthly meetings
Liaise with customer care and planning on day to day basis
Liaise with staff with tool box talks team briefs etc
Recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety
For this position of Manufacturing Manager your working hours are Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am to 12.00pm. Working 36.5 hours per week.
THE CANDIDATE:
Required:
Minimum 5 years' experience in Manufacturing/Production Management
Educated to a good standard, degree or equivalent desirable
Knowledge of ISO 9001,45001,and 14001
Committed to continuous improvement
Report Writing/ Presentation Skills
Excellent communication and people management skills
Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
Good leadership qualities with the ability to provide direction
Ability to create a good plan and determination to accomplish goals
