Our client is a well-respected and independent garage that has been serving the people of Ponteland, Darras Hall, and surrounding areas for over 80 years, owned and operated by three generations of the same family.

They work on all makes and models and offer the full range of repairs and maintenance any car owner may need. They offer exceptionally high standards of customer service and workmanship thus have many second and third generation customers who trust them to look after them and their vehicles.

We are currently looking to recruit a qualified and experienced MOT Tester to deliver first class service to their customers in the local and surrounding areas.

The Role:

You will be responsible for the diagnostic, maintenance, servicing, and repair work of motor vehicles for the customers of the garage and ensure that you deliver outstanding customer experience.

Work within DVSA framework.

Complete paperwork fully and in line with company standards.

Quality control and road testing vehicles.

Person Specification:

Highly experienced and qualified MOT Tester.

Hold a formal qualification in Automotive City and Guilds/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or an equivalent qualification).

Ability to tackle all aspects of diagnostics, vehicle repairs, and servicing.

Ideally, the successful applicant will be skilled in all makes and models of cars.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Ability to work within given timescales effectively and efficiently.

Ability to carry out work to high standards to deadlines.

A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work.

The ability to accurately follow written and spoken instructions.

A full driving license.
