National Account Executive
Supplier to Retail - Home Textiles
Excellent + Car Allowance

Our client is a leading textiles business, supplying UK High Street retailers and Major Supermarkets.

They are now looking for an exceptional National Account Executive to join their experienced sales team, which will be a stepping-stone into a fully-fledged NAM after a training and shadowing period. This is a fantastic opportunity 'cut your teeth' and gain significant exposure to large grocers and retailers.

You will need to have some experience, ideally at least 3 to 5 years' in sales, with experience of selling Branded goods into all retail sectors. This position will be all about driving growth in the existing customer base as well as maximising opportunities for additional and new business for our full range including duvets, pillows, bed linen, nursery and even pet beds under licensed Brands as well as own label. The work environment is fast paced, challenging and competitive. In this role, your self-motivation, personality, enthusiasm, pace, and energy will be key - as well as your passion for exceeding targets.


KEY AREAS WILL BE:

FULL P&L RESPONSIBILITY
Sales and sales analysis including merchandising principles.
Costings and Margin calculations.
Understanding of cost build up and variables affecting margin - transport, packaging etc.
Negotiating skills.
Extensive use of Excel.


COMMERCIALS
Ability to think outside the box and bring new ideas concept to the account.
Manage third party online sales listings and marketing activity
Best practice from other accounts and the wider business.
Look for ways to improve margin and increase the profitability of each account.
Build strong customer account relationships with our key customers.
Present to buyers at key periods & input into the promotional calendar.
Meet with customers on a regular basis to create mutually beneficial business relationships.
Maintain and grow existing key accounts in volume, value & margin to achieve budgeted sales and margin targets.
Establish profitable growth - identify and deliver on additional sales opportunities.
Build a strong relationship with all areas of the business.
Proactive range development and promotional planning to maximise sales opportunities.


CUSTOMER RELATONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Clear communication both written and verbal.
Outgoing and able to build and maintain relationships.
Willing to travel (UK) and work to short deadlines / flexibility.
Be able to manage priorities, working with more than one account at a time.


NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Comfortable with detail, accuracy, and accountability, to make sure customer needs are specified for translating into NPD.
Provide a point of focus for effective communication between the customer and the various functional roles within the business.
Build strong internal relationships with merchandising team to provide accurate sales forecasts to ensure ongoing business is serviced to the highest of standards.
Build strong internal relationships with Quality Assurance team for trials of new products, develop product specifications & service all aspects of the customer account.

Proven track record in increasing sales turnover & revenue and growth both on and off-line.

Used to work in fast paced environment.
Driving licence.
