Job Title: Production Paint Sprayer
Salary: £ 29898
Location: Bath
Working week: 37 hours Monday to Friday
Type of position: 12-month fixed term contact
Benefits: 5% pension, live cover x4 salary,25 days holiday + 9 bank Holidays, overtime paid at 1.8 basic rate.
We are now seeking to recruit Production Paint Sprayer to work for an engineering manufacturing company based in Bath. The successful Paint Sprayer would be responsible for preparation, painting and finish build of multiple variants of finished units and sub-assemblies prior to finish build processes utilising solvent and water based wet paint systems via manual air fed paint spraying equipment.
Responsibilities of Paint Sprayer:
Preparation of product ready for paint application process
Masking of components using a combination of both dedicated masking aids and masking tape to protect areas that are not to be painted
Application of etch primer coats via manual air fed paint spraying equipment
Application of primer coats via manual air fed paint spraying equipment
Application of topcoats via manual air fed paint spraying equipment
De-masking of components following final paint application
Port identification colour coding
Final assembly of components including identification prior to final packing
Packing product into shipping boxes and transfer to despatch area
Monitoring paint and consumable stocks and identifying when re-stocking is required
To carry out basic quality control checks
To assist in other areas of production within capabilities as and when required
Actively support continuous improvement activities throughout the business
Requirements of Paint Sprayer:
Proven experience in a production or automotive based paint spraying environment
Strong team-working ethic, with the drive and flexibility to maintain pace of work as priorities and requirements change
Strong multi-tasking abilities
Ability to work on own initiative
Attention to detail
The ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.
