QA Analyst (Automation Testing) Inside IR35

Contract Term: 12 months

Contracting Authority: UK Export Finance

Location: Hybrid – London – 1 day per week in office

This role requires you to develop and maintain automated testing frameworks, define and document test plans and cases, identify and report defects, lead performance, end-to-end, API and load testing, and document test activities and progress reports.

As a QA Analyst (Automation Testing),your main responsibilities would be:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks and test scripts.
  • Define and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various applications and platforms.
  • Identify and report defects and issues found during automated testing.
  • Create and maintain automated regression test suites.
  • Participate in the preparation and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT), End-to-End and API testing.
  • Lead the creation and execution of performance, load, and stress testing.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure that automated tests are integrated into the continuous integration and deployment pipeline.
  • Ensure that test automation best practices are followed and continuously improved.
  • Monitor and analyse test results, identify trends and issues, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve the quality of test automation by researching and adopting new tools and techniques.
  • Participate in the development of user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure testability.
  • Review and analyse business and technical requirements to ensure that they are testable and complete.
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize testing efforts based on risk and business impact.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of testing tools and technologies.
  • Review requirement specifications and determine their suitability for defining appropriate tests.
  • Define test environment and test data requirements.
  • Prepare test environments and test data.
  • Record incidents arising during system and integration testing and re-test after application of remedial measures.
  • Document test activities and production of progress reports/metrics.


You’ll have relevant experience in:

  • You will need to hold active SC Clearance to be considered for this role.
  • Using test automation tools, including Telerik Test Studio, Tricentis, or TestRigor.
  • Preparing test design documents and evaluating test outcomes.
  • Structured testing techniques, full test lifecycle and risk-based testing in context of testing complex line of business applications.
  • Writing automated API, End-To-End, Regression and Performance testing.
  • Working in an Agile environment.
  • Using Postman and CI/CD tools (such as DevOps or Github).
  • Writing automated test cases for Salesforce CRM.
  • Writing Test Strategies.
