Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel
Location: Manchester City Centre
Salary: Up to £85k
Working Pattern: Hybrid working – 2/3 days a week in the office

Douglas Scott are working with an industry leading IT/Technology business based in Manchester City Centre as they look to grow their in-house legal offering with the addition of a mid-senior level Legal Counsel. As a senior member of the team, you’ll report into the Head of Legal and play a large part in the day to day operations of the team.

As the successful candidate, you’ll be responsible for the following:

• Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a wide range of commercial contract agreements (e.g. Supplier, B2B, IT/Technology, Marketing etc…)
• Supporting on wider legal matters such as Compliance, Corporate Transactional Work, IP etc…
• Working on some significant legal projects affecting various areas of the business
• Providing training internal stakeholders on all aspects of legal work affecting the business

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Candidates from 3-8 PQE in a commercial practice area
• Candidates from both Private Practice and In-house backgrounds will be considered but ideally, you will have some experience/exposure to advising businesses in the technology sector whether from an external or internal perspective.
