Job summary

The person will be responsible for running the Physical Training Store and acting as a lifeguard.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Job description

The Civilian PT Storekeeper is responsible for the maintenance and serviceability of all sports equipment and the upkeep of the sports store, under the direction of the Unit Physical Training Instructor. As a Pool Lifeguard, they are responsible for the lifeguarding of swimming periods in accordance with Royal Life Saving Society policy and local Swimming Pool Standing Orders.

Person specification

Report and maintain a log of all damaged sports equipment and building defects to the Unit Physical Training Instructor.

To issue and receive sports equipment held by the PT Store.

To wash and dry all sports strips held by CTCRM after use.

To maintain, order and issue stationery stores for the PT department.

To ensure that access to the store is controlled and that the store is secured throughout the working day and locked at night.

To maintain and manage the Corps Sports Trophies and display cabinets.

To ensure the swimming pool and its areas conform with current Health and Safety Regulations and ensure the maintenance of all Swimming Pool equipment.

To ensure that access to the Swimming Pool is controlled and that it is secured throughout the working day and locked at night.

To lifeguard swimming periods for trainees and courses.

To Lifeguard for Unit, family and event swim periods.
