Mott MacDonald is currently recruiting 12 months fixed term Transfer Pricing Assistant Manager (with a potential to become permanent) to join our Croydon office on a hybrid working basis and support growing workload of the Group Tax Team located in the UK and several locations around the world.

Mott MacDonald’s transfer pricing team provides support in relation to developing, implementing and maintaining inter-company transfer pricing policies; collecting and analysing transfer pricing and financial data and information; preparing or assisting with transfer pricing documentation reports in over 50 tax jurisdictions; as well as managing and working closely with third-party advisers located in several tax jurisdictions across the world.

The ideal candidate should have substantial transfer pricing experience and be comfortable with pro-actively communicating with various client facing teams and stakeholders within the Group as well as with members of the Tax, Finance and other Central Services teams.

Specific Transfer Pricing responsibilities include:

  • Management, implementation and maintenance of MM Group transfer pricing policies
  • Day-to-day responsibility for transfer pricing documentation compliance of a number of Group entities by engaging with Finance/Tax teams and/or local 3rd party consultants to prepare the required transfer pricing local documentation within the required deadlines
  • Partnering with the business, to proactively identify transfer pricing risks and opportunities within the MM Group
  • Assistance with and ownership of global and local technical transfer pricing projects
  • Identifying improvement activities in relation to the performance of the Group Transfer Pricing team as well as wider Group Tax function
  • Liaising with key contacts in local and overseas Finance teams to build efficient communication channels and networks that guarantee swift identification of potential transfer pricing issues
  • Working with Legal and local Finance teams to ensure smooth roll out of the new intra-group agreements
  • Providing an ad-hoc transfer pricing advice as and when requested by the Group companies

Candidate Specification

Minimum role requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Accountancy or Tax qualification (e.g. ACCA, CTA, ADIT, etc.)
  • Substantial years of transfer pricing experience gained in a consulting environment or an
    in-house transfer pricing / international tax role
  • Experience with preparation of the OECD compliant transfer pricing documentation
  • Basic understanding of international tax concepts (e.g. WHT, PE, DTT)
  • Advanced English communication skills both written and verbal
