Course Tutor – Economics

0.5 – 0.7 FTE – 17 - 23 periods per week

Up to Pt 9 of SFCA Teaching Pay Spine - currently £44,256 per annum

To start September 2023

The College is seeking to appoint an inspirational and successful subject specialist to teach Economics. As a College, we are ambitious for our students, and we are looking for staff who can bring the right blend of flexibility, commitment, energy, and vision.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher to join a cohesive, positive team and make a significant contribution to the continuous improvement of this thriving and successful department at a time of growth.

The Economics Department consists of two part time members of staff teaching both A Level and IB Economics. We have links with several organisations and universities including London School of Economics, SOAS and Sussex University. We organise trips with Politics and History to New York and Washington DC. The department is well resourced using Google Classroom and other online resources to enhance student achievement.

There may be opportunities for the appropriate candidate to teach Politics as well.

To be successful, you will have a relevant degree and a recognised teaching qualification. Applications from NQTs and experienced teachers from Sixth Form Colleges, FE Colleges and Schools are welcome.
