Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Azure Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-based data infrastructure to support our organisation's data needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements, design and implement data solutions, and ensure data integrity and security.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and maintain Azure-based data solutions for various business units.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Create data pipelines to ingest and transform data from various sources.
  • Design and implement data storage solutions to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Develop and maintain data models and data dictionaries.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data solutions to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Implement data governance and compliance policies.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to support their data needs.
  • Requirements:
Technical knowledge of:
  • Azure Data Platform, including, but not limited to;
    • Azure Data Lake
    • Azure Synapse Analytics
    • Azure SQL Database
    • Azure Data Factory
  • Good level of knowledge on Power BI
  • Good understanding on Microsoft reference architectures and when they should be used.
  • Working knowledge of Data Platform Design
  • Able to articulate and demonstrate the capabilities of Microsoft Azure Data Platform with regards to how Data & Analytics can provide solutions to business problems
  • Ability to articulate business benefits of Data & Analytics to client stakeholders, but not limited to;
    • Knowledge of Dynamics 365 ERP – data model knowledge a significant benefit
    • Knowledge of Dynamics 365 CRM – data model knowledge a significant benefit
    • Understanding of Azure data integration technologies o Knowledge of Modern Workplace
    • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps
    • Experience using C# and/or Python to gather data via API calls
    • Proficient in creating applications/ Python
    • Proficiency in SQL and Python
