Content & Social Media Manager

£22k-£26k per annum dependent on experience

Monday - Friday / General Office Hours

Wrexham

Our client based in Wrexham area is currently recruiting a Content & Social Media Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for developing and implementing content and social media strategy, managing the day-to-day running of social media platforms, creating written, video, and photographic content for socials and blogs, and writing blogs for our client’s website. You will also be responsible for liaising with the marketing teams of other organisations our client collaborates with, outreach to develop backlinks, guest blogs, influencer collaborations, and PR opportunities, as well as designing your own posts for socials and scheduling them using Hootsuite.

Performance Objectives

  • Develop and implement content and social media strategy to drive engagement, increase brand awareness and generate leads/sales for the company.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of our social media platforms, including Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Create written, video, and photographic content for socials and blogs that align with our brand voice and messaging.
  • Write blogs for our website, utilising Chat GPT to assist in generating high-quality content.
  • Liaise with the marketing teams of other organisations we collaborate with to explore opportunities for partnership and collaboration.
  • Outreach to develop backlinks, guest blogs, influencer collaborations, and PR opportunities to expand our reach and visibility.
  • Design your own posts for socials and schedule them using Hootsuite to ensure consistent and timely content delivery.
  • Be involved in the SEO strategy for the company to ensure that our digital presence is optimized for search engines.
  • Demonstrate the value of effective digital content management through appropriate stakeholder engagement, analysis, and reporting. Set targets and be accountable for results on all social channels.
  • Provide expertise and support to e-commerce projects, new business initiatives, and on-going improvements ensuring commercial and customer value is realized in support of our sales and marketing objectives and our digital strategy.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and customer focus in the effective management, prioritization, development, delivery, and communication of content and change across our digital services.
  • Support the design and delivery of an engaging user experience through leading the development of our digital content strategy, including rich media to ensure that the digital experience stays market-leading and ahead of our competitors.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in content and social media management, with a portfolio of successful campaigns.
  • Strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in outreach and PR campaigns.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and analytics tools.
  • Proficient in using Hootsuite or similar social media scheduling tools.
  • Experience in e-commerce and new business initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
