The purpose of this post:

  • The Deputy Generic Recruitment Manager is accountable for managing the operational delivery and performance of the Generic Recruitment Service ensuring high standards are maintained and a high quality, cost effective and efficient Team provide a comprehensive recruitment service across the region.
  • Support the Generic Nursing Recruitment Manager in developing, implementing and evaluating the Generic Recruitment Service Strategy in relation to employment and provide specialist advice and operational support to hiring managers on recruitment including equality issues in line with the NHS Lothian’s Workforce and Organisational Development Strategy.
  • Member of the senior team responsible for achieving the agreed objectives as set out in the Service Level Agreement within NHS Lothian.
