Our educational agency is proud to partner with a successful secondary school in Epsom, Surrey, in their search for an enthusiastic and motivated DT Technician to join their Design and Technology department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all practical aspects of the DT curriculum are effectively supported and delivered.

Duties:

• Preparing materials and equipment for lessons and practical sessions, ensuring that all tools and equipment are safely maintained and stored
• Assisting teachers and students during practical lessons, providing guidance and support where needed
• Managing stock levels of materials and equipment, ordering and maintaining supplies as necessary
• Maintaining accurate records of equipment usage and ensuring that all equipment is returned and stored correctly after use
• Undertaking basic maintenance and repair work on DT equipment
• Ensuring that all relevant Health and Safety procedures are adhered to in the DT department

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience of working in a similar role, ideally within a school environment
• Have good practical skills and be able to work accurately and methodically
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team, and to communicate well with colleagues and students
• Have a good understanding of Health and Safety procedures in a DT context
• Be committed to supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning in DT
