The Eye Nursery prides itself on its warm family feel and homelike atmosphere, they provide expert and caring childcare for children from 18 months through to Year 6. Children join our Caterpillar area in the earlier years prior to them blossoming into Butterflies.

This nursery aims to provide a rich and stimulating environment to meet individual needs, to support development physically and mentally, and prepare all children with the skills and knowledge they need to become confident and productive members of society.

The main responsibilities of this job role will include:

  • Working towards Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
  • Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
  • Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns whilst having fun.
  • Assisting the facility in meeting OFSTED requirements, which will also benefit in the Childcare Apprenticeship.
  • Being a team player.
  • Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children appropriately to meet the Apprenticeship requirements.
  • Taking part in First Aid training as required.
  • Undertaking training as appropriate to meet any changes in the Apprenticeship Standards or appropriate legal requirements as required within the childcare setting.
  • Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Hygiene requirements are always adhered to during the Childcare Apprenticeship.
  • Responsibility for equal opportunity in delivery, access and attitude in aspects of service delivery and management
  • Working with teams across the nursery setting
  • Supporting children’s learning and development, including supporting planning and observations towards your Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
  • Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children.
  • Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea.
  • Supporting children’s self-help needs.
  • Being creative and enthusiastic.
  • Following Safeguarding rules and regulations to also meet the Standard of the Childcare Apprenticeship.
